Baden Academy Charter School

Baden Academy Charter School details enrollment process

Pennsylvania's Charter Appeal Board voted unanimously on December 13, 2011 to grant Baden Academy its charter after two years of denials from the Ambridge Area School District. Since that time, Baden Academy's planning committee has worked diligently to transition from "development" to "implementation." Last month, Baden's Board of Trustees was formally installed and held its first meeting. The timeline for launching the school in the fall is aggressive - but manageable. Baden Academy is committed to begin educating students by September of this year.

Obviously, there is a degree of uncertainty involved in this process. However, the overwhelming response and support from parents and students interested in attending Baden Academy Charter School, as well as strong support from the community as a whole, have sustained and inspired the development of the school. Regular updates will be made throughout the spring and summer to keep families and other stakeholders current on developments.

Baden Academy Charter School plans to open this fall for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

In order to formally apply to Baden Academy Charter School, interested parents must complete an application, which can be downloaded here.

The completed application and all necessary attachments should be mailed to:

Baden Academy Charter School
Attn: Enrollment
National Network of Digital Schools
1000 Third Street
Beaver, PA 15009

If interest in enrollment outpaces available space in the school, it is possible that a lottery, as required by Pennsylvania's charter school law, will need to be implemented.

Baden Academy Charter School will continue to provide updated information in the weeks and months ahead via this website, through its social networking page, and via email. For your information, an "FAQ" on charter schools can be accessed here.
